PD Labs Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through getting started with a PD Labs experiment: finding an entry point, accepting the PD Labs terms and conditions, and knowing what to expect the first time you open an experiment versus when you return to it. Any PagerDuty account, including a trial account, can follow this guide.

Entry Points

You can open a PD Labs experiment from AI Settings in your PagerDuty account.

Accepting the PD Labs Terms and Conditions

The first time you use an experiment, PagerDuty asks you to accept the PD Labs terms and conditions.

1. Open a PD Labs experiment using an entry point in the previous section.
2. Review and accept the PD Labs terms and conditions. You must accept the terms before you can use the experiment.
3. Read the documentation for the experiment you opened. For example, if you opened Workbench, see the Workbench Overview.

First-Run vs. Returning-User Experience

What you see after you accept the terms depends on whether you have used the experiment before.

• First run: You land on an incident picker with suggested starting questions, such as "Why is latency spiking?" or "What changed recently?" Selecting an incident opens a Workspace, and Paige, PagerDuty's SRE Agent, can begin an initial investigation automatically.
• Returning: You instead see your recent Workspaces, along with a short summary of what changed since you last checked in. A Catch Me Up option has Paige summarize the state of any Workspace you joined through a shared link.
