Account & Admin
Settings
Manage your personal profile and account-wide settings for your PD Reliability Platform account.
Settings is where you manage your personal profile and account-wide settings such as single sign-on (SSO), user offboarding, incident settings, and audit logs. The Settings page has its own menu with two groups: Profile, for your own personal settings, and Admin, for account-wide settings.
Availability
Settings is available to PD Reliability Platform accounts. It is rolling out gradually and replaces Account Settings and the My Profile menu. If your account has not been upgraded to Settings yet, User Icon Account Settings and User Icon My Profile still appear in your user menu. See Account Settings and User Profile for instructions.
Required User Permissions
Every user can manage their own Profile settings. The Account Owner and Global Admins can manage the Admin settings.
To open Settings, navigate to Settings. Select one of the following groups from the Settings menu:
Profile
The Profile group has your personal settings: My Profile, Contact Information, Notification Rules, User Settings, Permissions and Teams, and On-Call Shifts. These are your own settings, not account-wide settings — see User Profile for the full tab breakdown.
Business Service Subscriptions Moved
Business service subscriptions are no longer part of Profile. Manage them from Configuration Incident Response Service Subscriptions. For more information, see Business Service Subscription.
Admin
The Admin group has the account-wide settings below.
- Account Settings
- Single Sign-On
- Tagging
- User Offboarding
- Mobile Security Settings
- Status Updates

Change Account Owner
User Role After Transferring Account Ownership
When you transfer account ownership to a different user, your role changes to Admin.
Requirement: Transfer Account Ownership to an Active User
Make sure the user you are transferring account ownership to has accepted their invitation to your PagerDuty account. After they accept, they are an active user.
- In the web app, navigate to Settings Account Settings.
- In the Change Account Owner section, search for or select the user you want to transfer account ownership to.
- Click Change account owner.
- Click Accept in the confirmation message to transfer ownership.
Change Account Owner section
Account Owner Unavailable
If the current Account Owner has left your organization and their PagerDuty login information is not available:
- Contact your internal IT department to request access to the former Account Owner's email inbox.
- In your web browser, navigate to your organization's PagerDuty login page (for example,
https://your-subdomain.pagerduty.com/sign_in), enter the former Account Owner's email address, and click Forgot your password? to send a password reset email. - Follow the instructions in the password reset email to log in as the Account Owner, and then follow the steps in Change Account Owner to transfer ownership to an appropriate user.
Email Domain Restriction
You can use an allow list to restrict the email domains that users can enter. This setting applies to both login and contact email addresses. The restriction applies only to future updates — if users already have email addresses with domains that are not on the allow list, those addresses continue to work.
- In the web app, navigate to Settings Account Settings.
- Under Email Domain Restriction, select the checkboxes to restrict login email addresses, contact email addresses, or both. A contact email address is where a user receives notifications.
- Enter a comma-separated list of domains to allow.
- Click Update Email Domain Settings.
Email Domain Restriction section
Users who enter an email domain that is not on the allow list see an alert dialog when entering their login or contact email address.
If your account uses subdomains in email addresses, select Allow Subdomains. The allow list then permits all subdomains of the listed domains. For example, entering domain.com also allows subdomain.domain.com and subdomain2.subdomain1.domain.com.
Billing Moved Out of Account Settings
Payment information, account limits, and billing notification recipients are no longer part of Account Settings — manage them from User Icon Your Subscription. For more information, see Billing, Invoices and Payments.

For more information, see Offboarding.

For more information, see Advanced Mobile Security.
