# Settings

Manage your personal profile and account-wide settings for your PD Reliability Platform account in Settings.

Settings is where you manage your personal profile and account-wide settings such as single sign-on (SSO), user offboarding, incident settings, and audit logs. The Settings page has its own menu with two groups: **Profile**, for your own personal settings, and **Admin**, for account-wide settings.

> **Availability:** Settings is available to PD Reliability Platform accounts. It is rolling out gradually and replaces Account Settings and the My Profile menu. If your account has not been upgraded to Settings yet, **User Icon** → **Account Settings** and **User Icon** → **My Profile** still appear in your user menu. See [Account Settings](/account-admin/account-settings) and [User Profile](/account-admin/user-profile) for instructions.

> **Required User Permissions:** Every user can manage their own Profile settings. The Account Owner and Global Admins can manage the Admin settings.

To open Settings, navigate to **Settings**. Select one of the following groups from the Settings menu:

- [Profile](#profile)
- [Admin](#admin)

## Profile

The **Profile** group has your personal settings: **My Profile**, **Contact Information**, **Notification Rules**, **User Settings**, **Permissions and Teams**, and **On-Call Shifts**. These are your own settings, not account-wide settings — see [User Profile](/account-admin/user-profile) for the full tab breakdown.

> **Business Service Subscriptions Moved:** Business service subscriptions are no longer part of Profile. Manage them from **Configuration** → **Incident Response** → **Service Subscriptions**. For more information, see [Business Service Subscription](/incident-management/services/business-services/subscription).

## Admin

The **Admin** group has the account-wide settings below.

- [Account Settings](#account-settings)
- [Single Sign-On](#single-sign-on)
- [Tagging](#tagging)
- [User Offboarding](#user-offboarding)
- [Mobile Security Settings](#mobile-security-settings)
- [Status Updates](#status-updates)
- [Analytics Email Settings](#analytics-email-settings)
- [On-Call Readiness](#on-call-readiness)

- [Audit Log & Compliance](#audit-log--compliance)

> **User Role After Transferring Account Ownership:** When you transfer account ownership to a different user, your role changes to Admin.

1. In the web app, navigate to **Settings** → **Account Settings**.
2. In the **Change Account Owner** section, search for or select the user you want to transfer account ownership to.

*Change Account Owner section*

### Account Owner Unavailable

If the current Account Owner has left your organization and their PagerDuty login information is not available:

1. Contact your internal IT department to request access to the former Account Owner's email inbox.
2. In your web browser, navigate to your organization's PagerDuty login page (for example, `https://your-subdomain.pagerduty.com/sign_in`), enter the former Account Owner's email address, and click **Forgot your password?** to send a password reset email.
3. Follow the instructions in the password reset email to log in as the Account Owner, and then follow the steps in [Change Account Owner](#change-account-owner) to transfer ownership to an appropriate user.

### Email Domain Restriction

You can use an allow list to restrict the email domains that users can enter. This setting applies to both login and contact email addresses. The restriction applies only to future updates — if users already have email addresses with domains that are not on the allow list, those addresses continue to work.

1. In the web app, navigate to **Settings** → **Account Settings**.
2. Under **Email Domain Restriction**, select the checkboxes to restrict login email addresses, contact email addresses, or both. A contact email address is where a user receives notifications.
3. Enter a comma-separated list of domains to allow.
4. Click **Update Email Domain Settings**.

![A screenshot of the PagerDuty web app showing the Email Domain Restriction section](/images/kb/0bda24d4eaa35d5e976d23200ea3007ec8280c3219e41f558511c9ad1af10705-settings-email-domain-restriction.webp)
*Email Domain Restriction section*

Users who enter an email domain that is not on the allow list see an alert dialog when entering their login or contact email address.

If your account uses subdomains in email addresses, select **Allow Subdomains**. The allow list then permits all subdomains of the listed domains. For example, entering `domain.com` also allows `subdomain.domain.com` and `subdomain2.subdomain1.domain.com`.

> **Billing Moved Out of Account Settings:** Payment information, account limits, and billing notification recipients are no longer part of Account Settings — manage them from **User Icon** → **Your Subscription**. For more information, see [Billing, Invoices and Payments](/account-admin/billing).

## Single Sign-On

Configure which login method users use to authenticate with PagerDuty.

For more information, see [Single Sign-On (SSO)](/account-admin/sso).

## Tagging

Use tags to search faster for objects such as teams, escalation policies, and users. Large organizations can use tags to add metadata to indirectly related objects and identify their dotted-line relationships.

For more information, see [Tagging](/account-admin/tagging).

## User Offboarding

Choose how PagerDuty handles a user's assigned incidents when you remove them, and who is notified about the gaps left in escalation policies and schedules.

For more information, see [Offboarding](/account-admin/manage-users/offboarding).

## Mobile Security Settings

Optionally enable **Mobile App Lock**, a security setting that locks the PagerDuty mobile app after a period of inactivity.

For more information, see [Advanced Mobile Security](/get-started/mobile-app#advanced-mobile-security).

## Status Updates

Customize the look and feel of status update emails by uploading a company logo.

For more information, see [Status Update Branding](/incident-management/communicate/internal-status-page#status-update-branding).

## Analytics Email Settings

> - Users with a base role of Manager who also have a Team role of Manager on one or more Teams can receive Analytics emails. Account Owners and Global Admins can receive Analytics emails without a Team role. Users with base roles below Manager cannot receive Analytics emails.
> - Accounts on the Business and Enterprise Incident Management pricing plans can manage Analytics email settings from the Analytics Dashboard. This option is not available on the Professional pricing plan. Contact the [Sales Team](https://www.pagerduty.com/contact-us/#contact-sales) to upgrade.

> **Tip:** To receive Analytics emails, users must have a [Team role](/account-admin/advanced-permissions#team-roles). Users with a Responder role cannot receive Analytics emails.

## On-Call Readiness

On-Call Readiness Reports help you improve incident response quality by making sure responders have effective notification rule configurations. You can set a **Default Readiness Profile** that fits your organization.

For more information, see [On-Call Readiness Reports](/incident-management/schedules/readiness-reports).

## Incident Settings

Manage **Incident Priority**, **Default Mobilization**, **Reopen Incidents**, and **Default Incident Type** settings.

For more information, see [Disable Default Mobilization](/incident-management/services/default-mobilization-service#disable-default-mobilization).

### Reopen Incidents

Manage account-wide access to the Reopen Incidents feature.

For more information, see [Reopen Incidents](/incident-management/incidents/reopen-incidents#manage-reopen-incidents-settings).
