Feature Tutorial: On-Call Readiness Reports

Checks whether responders' notification rules meet a chosen readiness profile, and can email people who fall short with fix-it instructions.

An escalation policy only works if the people on it can actually be reached — and it's easy for a responder's notification rules to quietly fall out of date, with nobody finding out until a page gets missed at 3am.

On-Call Readiness Reports give managers and admins a team-filtered view of whether responders have their notification rules configured well enough to reliably receive a page. Each report is built around a readiness profile — from "Must include phone" up to "Never miss a page," which checks for every contact method plus delays between notification rules — and can optionally email the responders who fall short, with instructions on how to fix their setup.

Because responders with well-configured notification rules are less likely to miss a notification, tightening on-call readiness directly helps bring down mean time to acknowledge (MTTA), not just team morale around on-call.

On-Call Readiness Reports are available on the Business, Digital Operations (legacy), and Enterprise for Incident Management pricing plans.
