PagerDuty AIOps Tutorial
When alerts come in by the dozens or hundreds during an outage, the hardest part isn't detecting that something's wrong — it's cutting through the noise to find out what actually matters and where to look first.
PagerDuty AIOps compresses that noise, provides situational awareness, and automates the repetitive parts of incident response. It uses machine learning to intelligently group related alerts into a single incident, surfaces probable origin points and related past incidents so responders know where to focus, and lets teams build automation — from enrichment to routing to self-healing actions — using Event Orchestration.
AIOps is the current evolution of PagerDuty's Legacy Event Intelligence add-on, and includes everything in Event Intelligence plus Global Event Orchestration. Customers have reported significant reductions in alert noise and faster mean time to resolution as a result.
Because AIOps is priced by event consumption rather than by user, only events sent to AIOps-enabled services or Event Orchestrations count toward an account's event volume tier — non-AIOps services and Orchestrations don't get access to the advanced noise-reduction and root-cause features.
