# PagerDuty Integration | Jeli Connect PagerDuty to Jeli via API key or OAuth2 to page responders from Slack and pull on-call activity into post-incident analysis. ## PagerDuty and Jeli Integration Benefits - Add responders to an incident using the [Slack and Jeli Integration](https://support.pagerduty.com/main/docs/slack-integration-jeli). - Automatically gather PagerDuty data for analysis. - View who was on call during an incident and what notifications PagerDuty sent. ## Requirements > **Availability:** Jeli is available to customers with a standalone Jeli plan, or on the Enterprise Incident Management or Enterprise Customer Service Ops plans. For customers who have Jeli as part of their pricing plan, all users (regardless of [user role](/account-admin/advanced-permissions#role-types)) have access to Jeli. Contact the [Sales Team](https://www.pagerduty.com/contact-us/#contact-sales) to upgrade to an account plan with Jeli. ### Configure the Integration #### In Jeli Admin permissions are required to manage Jeli integrations. To add an admin, navigate to [User Access Management Settings](https://app.jeli.io/settings/users) in the Jeli web app. ## How It Works - You can open a PagerDuty incident and notify responders using the Jeli Slackbot. - Optionally add more responders for assistance with the incident. - Jeli records actions taken in PagerDuty for use in a post-incident review. ## Integration Walkthrough There are two ways to connect Jeli and PagerDuty: - [Connect via API Key (Recommended)](#connect-via-api-key-recommended) - [Connect via OAuth2](#connect-via-oauth2) ### Connect via API Key (Recommended) #### In PagerDuty 1. Navigate to **Integrations** → **API Access Keys**. 2. Click **Create New API Key**. 3. Enter a **Description** to help identify the key later. 4. Click **Create Key**. 5. Copy and paste this key in a safe place for later use, as it is not accessible again. #### In Jeli 1. Navigate to **Settings** → **Integrations** → **PagerDuty** and select the **Connect via API Key (Recommended)** tab. 2. Enter the following configuration details: | Field | Value | | :------------------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Default email** | An email address for a user currently provisioned in your PagerDuty account. If you use the PagerDuty integration in Jeli, but do not have a PagerDuty account, actions attribute to this default user. | | **PagerDuty domain** | The URL of your organization’s PagerDuty instance. For example, `bean-co.pagerduty.com`. | | **API Key** | The General Access REST API Key generated in PagerDuty in step one. | 3. Click **Connect account**. ### Connect via OAuth2 #### In Jeli 1. Navigate to **Settings** → **Integrations** → **PagerDuty** and select the **Connect via OAuth2** tab. 2. Click **Connect an account**. This directs you to a page with an installation link, redirecting you to PagerDuty. 3. Select your **Region** and log in to PagerDuty. ## PagerDuty and Jeli Integration User Guide PagerDuty records all actions taken by Jeli within the account (such as creating an incident or triggering alerts) under the name of the user who configured the integration. ### Notify a Responder Jeli sends PagerDuty notifications to the on-call responder by creating a PagerDuty incident on the selected service. 1. Select the user to notify. Click **Page**. Depending on your account's pricing plan, you see different behavior: - For PagerDuty **Business**, **Digital Operations** (legacy) and **Enterprise Incident Management** plans, Jeli requests additional responders using the [Add Responders](/incident-management/incidents/add-responders) feature. - For PagerDuty **Free** and **Professional** plans, Jeli requests additional responders by assigning the incident to the additional users and escalation policies that you select. ### View PagerDuty Incident Details In Slack, enter the command `/jeli info`. It shows all alerts that fired from 30 minutes before your post-incident review started until 30 minutes after it ended.
