# Delete an SRE Agent memory

`DELETE https://api.pagerduty.com/sre_agent/memories/{id}`

Permanently delete an SRE Agent memory. Deleting a runbook may not delete it immediately from a currently running conversation, but will remove it from all future conversations. To modify an in progress conversation ask the agent to delete the runbook instead.

Scoped OAuth requires: `sre_agent.write`

## Authorization

- **api_key** (apiKey) — `Authorization` header. The API Key with format `Token token=<API_KEY>`

## Response 204

The SRE Agent memory was deleted successfully.

## Response 401

Caller did not supply credentials or did not provide the correct credentials.
If you are using an API key, it may be invalid or your Authorization header may be malformed.
